Room: Dig Room
Sweet’s focus was to encapsulate Percil’s the Dirt Is Good project’s fundamental values: a passion for the planet, sustainable living and creating quality products. The circular motif communicates a sense of completeness and wholeness. Sweet chose to print her work on sustainable handmade paper as a way of bringing the graphic to life through the paper’s rougher texture and edging. It was important for Sweet that her work felt ‘human-made and approachable.’
This work was commissioned specifically for the 4 Acres site in Kingston, UK in 2021.

Georgie Sweet is an illustrator and animator who trained at Kingston University, London. To Sweet, authenticity is the most important aspect in her work and seeks to always present her subject matters with honesty, sensibility, and, quite often, humour.
Although Sweet enjoys working in multiple types of different media, her strengths lie within her digital drawings which she manipulates and enhances through programmes such as Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
